huge Salmon caught 10-3-09

Let me just nip the complaints before u enev start. #1. The salmon are spawning so they are not really feeding. #2 there’s 150 guys all fishig the same way right next to me. #3. The fish is going to die in a week or so anyway( I released t anyway) so don’t complain about me grabbing it in tHe gills. And I removed like 4 other hooks from him before release. There’s is a damm there so the fish cannot go any further because of the damm #4 it’s Ny the salmon are different than west coast fish so save the comments about how were doin it wrong tell the 200 people there every day for 2 months. Thanks

I fish the salmon run where I am from and while they are spawning they are not feeding but they do bite out of aggression and because they are genetically imprinted to. 90% of the salmon I hook are in the mouth while I’m fishing the salmon run. There are just so many fish that it is nearly impossible to not snag. If I do catch up on one I break my line off. Trying to land a fish that is snagged is no fun and a lot more difficult, turning it’s head is almost impossible.

@ChoboOv I don know who was using that lure I pulled like 5 hooks out of this guy. It’s 99% snagging there the fish aren’t biting during spawn. If they do it’s 1 outta 50

Wow what idiot was using that lure???? That is sad that people have to use massive lures to snag salmon because they can’t catch them properly.

@sicklumber Well I hope all the jackasses read your comments about the feeding at spawn time and there are thousands of fish in that hole. He will die in a week or to anyway. And they are starting to rot. I wouldn’t eat any
