Question by Jessie <3: What are some fun things to do in egypt?
Other than go see pyramids. Is there anywhere else, for example if you go to alaska, instead of looking at icebergs you may want to go ice fishing, or while visiting new york, instead of seeing the statue of liberty you can go get new york style pizza.

Hey I’m planning on going to Egypt over the summer inshallah and I’m asking the same question to everybody. what I think is that you could do things like take a walk beside the Nile, eat and drink the foods that are there that aren’t in other foreign nations like koshary, and drink sobya and 3aser asab(sugar cane juice) or go to a place called el sayida zanab and eat this thing called a kombila9it’s a mixture of different sweet things put on top of each other), I don’t know that’s what I got from my relatives when I asked what I should do when I go(inshallah ) to Egypt.. lol it’s all about the food in my family I know lol.. ok there is also the boat that you could ride and it takes you to a place called El karya el pharonaya ( the pharaoh’s empire( I think that’s what it translates to :$ ) ) they say it’s very nice and there are people there that put on shows and stuff.. and there are these huge boats that have like restaurants and very nice decks that will take you on a trip.. I remember seeing them when I was in Egypt last time but I didn’t get a chance to go on any of them but there really really pretty.. then there are places like wist el balad it’s where there are all the stores and there are people there who sell popcorn and ice-cream and all sorts of foods..lol.. you could take a walk there with some friends or relatives..but I think that’s what everybody in Egypt does so it’s soooo crowded.. just in case u don’t like crowded places..then you can go to the fayoum it’s another city that has waterfalls(I’m not sure where in the city are the water falls, but I know that there are waterfalls their) .. you could go to all the malls.. I think there are some called tal3at harb, city stars, arcadia, and I know there are allot more but I don’t really know their names…if you like parks or grass areas there is a place called el qanater …if u’r into museums and stuff there are allot of museums one is called mathaf el sham3 (the wax museum) and another is el mathaf el masry (the Egyptian museum).. you could also go to luqsor .. it’s another city and you could see I think they were temples made at the times of the pharoes.. that what I got so far hope it was helpful

try a bedouin night where you experience the traditional living ways of those people who live out in the desert its a great experience.
definately need to go on a nile cruise :)
you need to visit a mosque they are incredible! as are the coptic orthodox churches and jewish churches they are just as greta except they are older and more antique.
you need to go on a donkey and cart ride in Luxor they are great they take you on a trip around the city and through this egyptain market its awesome!
there are lots of other that you could experience but those where some of my unique experiences…if you want drop me an email and i could give you some more of the lowdown of my trip :)

ok freind, before all you are welcome anytime, but AUG is the most hot period of the year to come to Egypt, it will be soo hot, as she said over here, stay away from sun during the mid day , because as you are not Egyptian or used to sooo hot sun you may get sick of it ( high propability ) , in other hand there are many many great nice various scenes and themes to live in EGypt , for diving and beaching there are south Sinai ( Hurgada , Sharm EL SHiekh , Dahab, Ras Muhammed , ….. ) , for ancient Pharaonic Egypt ( Luxur , Aswan, Giza Pyramids for sure ,….. ) , for Greek Roman Egypt ( Alxendria ) , For desert Adventure and skying sands ( Oasises and Beduen places, Siwa , EL Dakhlah , EL kharga, EL farfra ….. ) , Cairo is where you can live thousands of different lives in one day ( Pharaonic Egypt , Islamic Egypt , old Egypt , Modern EGypt ) it needs ages alone just traffic and noise what might bother you ( about Cairo ) , plus if that is Aug 2009 , so that will be Rhamadan , the fasting month of Muslims and this is another special taste and life to live in specificly EGypt , Have a great time dear friend ..

Visit the Cairo Tower, City Stars, JW Marriott Mirage City, Sphinx, Citadel, Good luck!

straight up- go pyramids, cairo tower, city star mall, ghenena mall, the citadel, 6th of october city, alexandria beach and dreampark (where i dare you to go on the discovery),

then take a boat ride in the night on the nile (honestly its the ultimate egyptian experience, you literally feel all the stress, pressure, worries drain from your mind!),

oh and when you go to 6th of october city (they call it city but its really a town), ask the locals for ‘farghaly’s’. trust me they got the best smoothies, slurps, ice creams and fruit cocktails on the planet.

i did all that in the space of a month and it was the best holiday ever.
