Q&A: Would something like this be legal in New York?

By

Question by AJ: Would something like this be legal in New York?
I bought a little plastic-handled pocket knife at a bait and tackle store, made by Eagle Claw, and i thought oh great, a little tool i can keep in my pocket when im fishing, or whatever, or if i have to go out at night (I sometimes get a bit paranoid, lol) but i just read that there are guidelines that vary from state to state in the US on the design of knives, and I was wondering if it is even legal to carry? The blade is wedged into the handle, it doesn’t swing open by centrifugal force or gravity, etc, ant it is not opened or operated by a button or a switch or anything, so as far as I know it’s not illegal…?
Help please

Yes it is legal, but be careful,do not get a false sense of security, if someone will ask for your valet in a dark corner just give it, they can handle their knives much faster then you do, couple of $ $ not worse your life.
