Question by K2010: When snow eventually melts and go to the rivers? In New York area and anywhere where we had snowstorms?
will all these chemicals and salt generously mixed in, damage water there bad enough to start fish mutating. Like fishermen catching 2 head fish (LOL)

In theory the salt could harm some fresh water fish if it reached a high enough level?

how snow affects lake freezing.?

im going ice fishing on a small pond. but the weather doesnt get as cold as it does near canada or minnesota. im in the new york area in CT. and as of now we are getting hammerd with about a foot of snow. so i was wondering if snow progresses the freezing of ice? and does snow on top of ice make it weeker? thanks

snow doesn’t affect a lake freezing…the temperature affects it.
