I live in upstate New York depends on what you are fishing for really I would say late spring through the summer. Well if you are going to throw em back no matter how big then anytime is really a good time to fish lake delta and Oneida lake have a good mixture of everything so those would be the top spots to fish without a preference

I live in Texas , and the best time to fish here is any time you can. Just get up and go, carry your rod and tackle in the car and that way you will always be ready.
